Shilparamam, a crafts village, conceived in the year 2009, is situated near RIMS hospital. Sprawling over 72 acres of land in Kadapa city of India. Shilparamam gives a scenic ambience of tradition and cultural heritage. For promotion and preservation of Indian arts and crafts and to motivate the artisans, the state government established this platform.
Rajampet, with a population of more than one lakh is the fourth largest town in the district. Rajampeta is located on Kadapa – Tirupati express highway at 14°11′00″N 79°10′00″E / 14.1833°N 79.1666°E / 14.1833; 79.1666.
Badvel is the northernmost of the three taluks forming the eastern division of the district. On the west it is separated from Proddatur and Kadapa by the Nallamalai and lankamalai hills constitute its eastern boundary. Proddatur is situated on the north bank of the Penner eight miles from Yerraguntla railway station and is 51KM away from the district head quarters – Kadapa. Proddatur is certainly the wealthiest town in the Kadapa district and possibly in the Ceded (Rayalaseema) Districts. In its pressing and ginning factories large quantities of raw cotton are prepared for the market by power-driven machinery. The trade of the town, the bulk of which is concerned wath cotton, indigo and food-grains, is chiefly in the hands of the rich Komati (AryaVysya) community which is here very largely represented. Evidence of their prosperity is seen in their substantial jewellers shops with which the place abounds. The town has a very busy bazaar and a local fund market where country produce is brought in and sold every day.

Pulivendula, the headquarters of the taluk, is situated on the road from Kadiri to Muddanur, being twenty-seven miles north of Kadiri and twenty-three miles south of Muddanur railway station. It is a fast developing town in the district with a population of more than 1,00,000. It is also famous for its local fund dispensary (Santa). The name Pulivendula is said to denote the ‘the haunt or abode of tigers,’ and may have been appropriate to the place some hundreds of years ago;
